Herd Mentality

Think like the herd.

One phone each, no pens. The host opens a paddock and reads a question, everyone types a secret answer, and the host reveals and scores once the whole herd is in.

How Herd Mentality is played
  • 4 to 20 players. One person is the Question Wrangler (the host). They read a question out loud and run the scoring. The host can play too.
  • Everyone answers in secret. The aim is not to be right or clever. The aim is to give the answer most other people give.
  • The herd gets cows. Everyone who gave the most popular answer earns one cow. If two or more answers tie for most popular, nobody gets a cow that round.
  • The Pink Cow. If exactly one player gave an answer nobody else matched, they take the Pink Cow. If two or more players are alone, the Pink Cow stays where it is.
  • Pink Cow curse. Whoever holds the Pink Cow keeps collecting cows but cannot win. It only moves when someone else becomes the sole odd one out.
  • Winning. The first player to reach 8 cows wins, as long as they are not holding the Pink Cow. If two or more players reach 8 in the same round, play on to 9.
